Offit Kurman is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate with 3+ years of experience to join our growing Atlanta office. We are looking for a motivated litigator who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to take on meaningful responsibility while working alongside experienced attorneys.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling significant case responsibility. This role offers hands‑on litigation experience, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to grow within a firm that values entrepreneurship, teamwork, and long‑term career development.
Responsibilities:- Drafting and responding to written discovery
- Preparing pleadings, dispositive motions, and briefs
- Conducting and defending depositions
- Appearing in court for hearings and conferences
- Managing matters from inception through resolution
- Participating in mediations and settlement negotiations
- Collaborating with partners and clients to develop litigation strategy
- 3+ years of experience in general commercial litigation and/or insurance defense litigation
- Experience in one or more of the following areas strongly preferred:
- Multi‑party litigation
- Property‑casualty loss matters
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Experience managing cases with increasing independence
- Admission to the Georgia Bar required
- Strong national platform with significant cross‑selling opportunities
- Collaborative, entrepreneurial environment for both production attorneys and business generators
- Business development resources, coaching, and support
