Role Overview

We are seeking a driven and strategic Inventory & Supply Chain Leader to oversee inventory performance, purchasing strategy, and team development within a fast-paced fasteners environment. This individual will play a key role in optimizing inventory, improving forecasting accuracy, and partnering cross‑functionally to support overall business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory & Financial Performance
    • Optimize inventory levels to support sales while minimizing excess and obsolete stock
    • Improve forecasting accuracy across key SKUs to drive effective purchasing decisions
    • Manage working capital through inventory turns and days of supply (DOS) targets
    • Contribute to gross margin through strategic product mix and pricing alignment
  • Cross-Functional Strategy
    • Act as the primary inventory partner to branch locations, aligning on local demand and sales trends
    • Lead SKU rationalization efforts, introducing high-performing products while phasing out underperforming items
    • Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure supplier performance meets expectations for lead times, quality, and cost
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead and develop a team of buyers, ensuring KPIs related to replenishment, accuracy, and delivery are consistently met
    • Mentor team members to strengthen analytical thinking, negotiation skills, and inventory best practices

      Drive process improvements across replenishment workflows using ERP/MRP systems
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of supply chain experience with a strong background in purchasing and logistics
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in forecasting, replenishment, and MRP systems
  • Advanced computer and data analysis capabilities
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • High attention to detail and a process-driven mindset
