Location:
Sandy Springs, GA

Duration: 12+ Month Contract

Pay: 25.00/hr, W 2

Onsite unless otherwise specified during interview process. If anything, I would expect onsite or at most a hybrid model.

• Occasional domestic travel may be required.

• Work may include coordination outside of standard business hours to support vehicle movement or dealer availability.


Must have Fleet Management and Vehicle industry experience.

Summary: The Lemon Law Buyback & Vehicle Lifecycle Management will be assisting in the end-to-end operational management of Lemon Law buyback vehicles across the Client States. This role focuses on coordinating transportation, repair, storage, disposition (auction, sale, donation, or disposal), and inventory accuracy for buyback vehicles. The contractor will work closely with third-party vendors, authorized Client dealers, and internal stakeholders to ensure vehicles are efficiently repaired, compliant, and returned to market when possible, while minimizing cost and cycle time.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate timely movement, inspection, and repair of vehicles stored at the Sandy Springs location to minimize aging inventory and support efficient disposition.
  • Coordinate transportation of buyback vehicles between customers, storage facilities, authorized dealers, repair facilities, auctions, and donation partners.
  • Maintain accurate, real-time inventory status of all buyback vehicles, including location, condition, repair status, and disposition path.
  • Monitor vehicle repair needs and availability of parts; proactively engage authorized company dealers to schedule and complete repairs when feasible.
  • Ensure vehicles meet quality and compliance requirements prior to resale or auction.
  • Work with third-party partners and vendors (transportation providers, storage facilities, auctions, donation organizations) to manage timelines, costs, and service levels.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Legal, Customer Retention, Vehicle Logistics, Accounting, Risk Management, and Field Operations.
  • Track and manage repair approvals, invoices, and supporting documentation related to vehicle movement and disposition.
  • Identify aging inventory, bottlenecks, or process inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to internal processes, documentation standards, and system updates related to buyback vehicles.
  • Support special projects and ad hoc requests related to buyback operations, inventory optimization, or risk mitigation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience, with emphasis in Business Management, Logistics/Transportation Management, Supply Chain, Finance or Accounting, or Operations Management.
  • 3–5 years of experience in vehicle inventory management, asset recovery or remarketing, logistics and transportation coordination, automotive operations or fleet management, or vendor or third-party partner management.
Preferred Skills:
  • Strong understanding of vehicle lifecycle management, including repair, storage, transportation, and disposition.
  • Solid vendor management and coordination skills, including issue resolution and performance tracking.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze inventory status, aging, and costs to drive timely decisions.
  • Effective communication skills with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Working knowledge of inventory, logistics, or case management systems (dealer systems, portals, or similar tools).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accountability and accuracy.
