Job Description & How to Apply Below

Interra International is a global leader in the trade supply and distribution of food commodities and ingredients. We also distribute consumer packaged goods to retail and food service industries.

Interra International is looking for driven early-career professionals ready to learn fast, grow faster, and make their mark on global food trade.

Not just a job. A launchpad.

Most early-career roles hand you one lane. The Interra Trainee Program hands you the whole map. In 12 months, you'll touch every corner of international food distribution — from compliance and risk to logistics and sales — building a foundation that most people spend a decade acquiring.

What You'll Actually Do

This isn't a coffee-and-shadowing program. From day one, you're in the mix:

  • Own the logistics for your assigned region — freight, timelines, problem-solving included
  • Build and manage relationships with global carriers, suppliers, and service providers
  • Negotiate rates, resolve issues, and keep shipments moving on time and on budget
  • Partner with Sales, Purchasing, and Compliance on real customer accounts
  • Analyze data, spot inefficiencies, and propose improvements that actually get implemented
What You'll Walk Away With

By the end of 12 months, you'll have hands-on fluency in international trade compliance, end-to-end logistics and fulfillment, risk management in global supply chains, commercial negotiation, and supplier relationship management.

Where this leads

Complete the program and you're eligible for a full-time offer as a Logistics or Sales professional— based on your performance and business need.

Who We're Looking For

You don't need to know everything about global trade — that's what we're here for. You do need:

  • A bachelor's degree or 1–2 years of experience in logistics, sales, or customer service
  • The drive to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Sharp communication skills and an instinct for building relationships
  • Attention to detail that borders on obsessive — details matter in global trade
  • Curiosity about how the world moves goods across borders
  • Additional language skills are a strong plus
Ready to trade at a global scale?
