We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Category Manager to lead sourcing initiatives, supplier management, and procurement strategies across key direct spend categories. This role will partner cross-functionally to optimize supplier performance, drive cost savings, enhance rebates, and deliver measurable business value.
Job Responsibilities for the Category Manager- Develop and execute category sourcing strategies, including market analysis, supplier evaluation, RFP/RFQ processes, contract negotiations, and supplier selection
- Lead cross-functional category teams to identify cost savings, cost avoidance opportunities, rebate improvements, and KPI achievement
- Build deep expertise in assigned categories to understand market dynamics, risks, and opportunities
- Manage strategic supplier relationships and drive Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) initiatives
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts while delivering annual value and cost reduction objectives
- Support annual planning through spend forecasting, volume analysis, and rebate projections
- Improve procurement policies, processes, and supplier management practices
- Assist with procurement technology initiatives, ERP systems, and process optimization projects
- 4–10 years of Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, or Direct Procurement experience
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
- Proven experience with Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
- Ability to review, interpret, and negotiate supply and service contracts
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing methodologies and procurement best practices
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
