Altius Talent is partnering with an international freight forwarder dedicated to delivering flexible, client-focused logistics solutions. Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Air Export Operator to join a fast-paced operations team. This role is ideal for someone with prior freight forwarding experience who thrives in a dynamic environment and is looking to further develop their career in international logistics.
Key Responsibilities- Process and manage air export shipments from start to finish
- Prepare and review export documentation, including HAWB and MAWB
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and procedures
- Review country-specific export documentation requirements
- Prepare, proof, and present shipping documents including Letters of Credit and drafts
- Coordinate pre-alerts and provide uplift information to overseas offices and agents
- Ensure all documentation is complete and accurately prepared for airport transfers
- Maintain clear communication with internal teams, customers, and partners
- Support general operational tasks and light freight handling when required
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in transportation, logistics, or freight forwarding (export-focused)
- College degree preferred but not essential
- Strong understanding of air export procedures and documentation
- Knowledge of customs regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills (phone, email, and interpersonal)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with standard office applications
- Ability to comply with TSA regulations (CCSF environment)
