The Procurement Manager will play a vital role in our supply chain, overseeing the sourcing and purchasing of materials and services necessary for our manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled negotiator with a proven track record in managing supplier relationships and optimising procurement processes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies that align with the company's operational and financial objectives.
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for raw materials, components, and finished goods, ensuring they meet our quality, cost, and delivery standards.
- Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favourable terms, pricing, and service level agreements.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and high‑quality supply chain.
- Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and supply chain risks to make informed purchasing decisions and mitigate potential disruptions.
- Collaborate closely with production, sales, and finance departments to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively.
- Analyse procurement data and spending to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, ethical standards, and legal regulations.
- Manage the entire purchase order process, from creation to final delivery and payment.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager, or in a similar senior procurement role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- A comprehensive understanding of supply chain management principles and procurement best practices.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrable experience in contract management and supplier relationship management.
- Proficiency in procurement software and the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and make strategic decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
