Air and Ocean Export Specialist

Our client is a growing international freight forwarder looking to add an experienced Air Export Specialist to their Georgia team.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who understands the urgency of air export operations, can manage shipments from booking through departure, and knows how to keep customers, airlines, overseas agents, and internal teams aligned.

As an Air Export Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating international air export shipments from start to finish. You will handle bookings, documentation, customer updates, airline communication, export compliance, and shipment tracking to ensure freight moves accurately, efficiently, and on time.

• Coordinate air export shipments from initial booking through uplift and final handover.
• Arrange bookings with airlines, carriers, co-loaders, and overseas agents.
• Prepare and review export documentation, including MAWBs, HAWBs, commercial invoices, packing lists, SLI, AES filings, and related shipping documents.
• Ensure shipments comply with export regulations, TSA requirements, airline procedures, and customer instructions.
• Communicate with customers to obtain shipment details, documentation, and special handling requirements.
• Track and trace shipments, providing proactive updates to customers and overseas partners.
• Coordinate cargo pick‑ups, warehouse receiving, cut‑off times, screening, and airline tendering.
• Monitor urgent shipments, delays, documentation issues, and operational exceptions.
• Work closely with internal departments, including import, brokerage, accounting, and warehouse teams.
• Ensure shipment files are accurate, updated, and billed correctly.

• Previous air export experience within freight forwarding or logistics.
• Strong understanding of air export operations, documentation, and airline procedures.
• Experience preparing air waybills, export documentation, and AES filings.
• Knowledge of TSA, export compliance, and international shipping requirements.
• Confident communicating with customers, airlines, truckers, warehouses, and overseas agents.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
• Experience using freight forwarding systems and Microsoft Office.
