Operations Support Specialist

Pay Range: $20.63 - $25.75

Provide essential operational support in a supply chain environment, facilitating smooth transportation and customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Develop working relationships with internal and external customers, maintain customer profiles, and address shipment, billing, status, services, and carrier inquiries.
  • Interface with airlines, shipping, trucking, and related carriers to understand requirements and track shipments.
  • Manage accuracy of documents, update operational/customer data in software systems, and resolve variances.
  • Utilize databases, logs, and other sources to locate and verify operational information.
  • Track orders and shipments, assist with tracing, create and process invoices, and collaborate with customers on payments.
  • Prepare and summarize operational reports, present findings to supervisors, and support quotes and service proposals.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, maintain a safe work environment, and provide operational guidance.
Qualifications
  • High School graduate or GED.
  • Minimum five years of office experience in a logistics/transportation environment.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet, web‑based, and job‑specific software.
  • Experience utilizing databases and systems to review & verify documentation and information.
  • Ability to prepare basic reports, queries, and operational information.
  • Ability to track and trace basic shipments or products.
  • Understanding of carriers and services in supply chain environments.
  • Effective communication about potential concerns or delays.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, changing environment, both independently and in a team.
