Position Overview
We are looking for a Planning & Stock Control Supervisor to control and co-ordinate all activities associated with receiving and dispatching goods in line with New Cold company and customer requirements, standards and service levels. This person will create and develop a professional culture on site, in line with our New Cold values and ensure that a positive attitude to Health & Safety is embedded within the team on site.
The Planning & Stock Control Supervisor will perform all activities related to the function of stock management. They are responsible for maintaining stock management KPI’s according to Operational Service Agreements (OSA), Inventory Accuracy KPI’s and stock alignment between New Cold’s customer stock management system (ERP) and WMS (MLS).
- Utilize New Cold’s inventory systems according to company and customer standards while managing quality issues on behalf of the customer.
- Work with customers and haulers to ensure customer delivery requirements are achieved and loading and unloading is completed in a timely manner.
- Act as a liaison for System Operators, Planners, Yard Operators, and the Dispatch Shift Leader to ensure optimum workflows and efficiencies take place across warehouse activities.
- Train and indirectly manage the team in line with New Cold company policy and ensuring company and customer standards are met.
- Partner with managers and supervisors on improvement initiatives to reduce cost and/or improve customer service.
- Monitor and react to KPI results, partnering with the Site Manager to identify and share continuous improvement opportunities.
- Document software and hardware bug detection and report issues to the IT-WMS Super User.
- Act in line with company and customer procedures ensuring quality of product is maintained according to customer requirements.
- Communicate quality issues, services issues and risks with customers, haulers and New Cold team.
- Ensure costs are controlled and inline with budget expectations while a safe and healthy work environment is maintained and all company and customer KPIs are achieved.
- Escalate and communicate customer issues to warehouse operational staff to ensure quick resolution.
- Manage and maintain stock accuracy between New Cold’s customer inventory control system and New Cold’s WMS system (MLS).
- Assist the operation as required by the site, including:
- Assist colleagues in carrying out tasks as required.
- Support Business Development initiatives as required.
- Continuously look for areas of improvement.
