Responsibilities
  • Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the parts department based on Retail, Wholesale and Customer‑Pay (Repair Order) sales.
  • Maintain a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, body shop, wholesale accounts and the do‑it‑yourself public.
  • Establish pricing parameters in each customer category that generate sufficient gross profit to produce a satisfactory profit while maintaining customer loyalty.
  • Establish individual parts inventory levels and balance them for maximum turnover.
  • Monitor and adjust Days’ Supply for critical and fast‑moving parts categories and numbers.
  • Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence and maintain Inventory Aging guidelines.
  • Direct shipping and receiving efforts to ensure timely processing.
  • Manage the parts inventory and track expenses.
  • Work with the service manager and shop foreman to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs.
  • Continue to maintain Asbury’s value, quality, and integrity.
  • Strong customer service skills are a must.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills required.
  • Experience with CDK or Reynolds is a plus.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Automotive Parts Employee.
  • Previous Automotive Parts Management experience required.
  • Must be able to manage in a fast‑paced work environment.
  • Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age and able to pass pre‑employment screens (background & drug test).
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Automotive Parts Employee.
  • Previous Experience in Automotive Parts Management.
  • Strong customer service, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with CDK or Reynolds systems preferred.
  • Ability to perform in a fast‑paced work environment.
  • Minimum age eighteen years and successful completion of background & drug screening.
