EIS is seeking a Category Manager to lead strategic sourcing and category management for key materials within our Manufacturing-focused Procurement, Supply Chain & Logistics organization. In this role, you will develop and execute category strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage suppliers to optimize cost, quality, and supply continuity for critical industrial, electrical, and electronic applications. You will analyze spend, market trends, and supplier performance, while collaborating closely with internal teams to align material strategies with customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute category strategies for key manufacturing and MRO materials supporting EIS customers
  • Lead sourcing events, negotiations, and contract management to optimize cost, quality, and service
  • Analyze spend, market trends, and supplier performance to identify savings and value-creation opportunities
  • Build and manage strategic supplier relationships to ensure continuity of supply and risk mitigation
  • Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain & Logistics, Sales, and Operations to align category plans with business needs
  • Forecast demand and collaborate on inventory strategies to support customer reliability and on-time delivery
  • Support new product introductions and alternative material qualifications with technical and commercial insight
  • Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and process efficiency across managed categories
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and ethical sourcing standards
  • Prepare and present category performance reports and recommendations to leadership
