Freight Forwarder, Air Export, AOG

• Coordinate air export shipments from the gateway facility, including booking cargo space, arranging pick-ups, and coordinating with carriers and airlines

• Ensure compliance with export regulations and documentation requirements

• Prepare and verify air waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, export licenses, and other export documentation

• Facilitate customs clearance, file export declarations, and obtain necessary permits or certificates

• Monitor shipment movement from the gateway facility to the destination airport and provide status updates

• Address transit issues or delays and implement corrective actions

• Serve as the primary client contact for shipment status, transit times, and documentation requirements

• Liaise with freight carriers, ground handlers, customs brokers, and service providers

• Negotiate rates and terms with suppliers

• Conduct quality checks on cargo packaging, labeling, documentation, and shipment data

• Identify process improvements and implement best practices and quality standards in air export operations

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, international business, or a related field preferred
• Additional certifications in freight forwarding or customs brokerage are advantageous
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in freight forwarding, air export operations, or international logistics
• Specific experience in air freight preferred
• Strong knowledge of air freight operations, international trade regulations, and customs procedures
• Proficiency in freight forwarding software and systems, such as Cargo Wise and CHAMP Cargo systems
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry
• Fluent in English, oral and written
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Familiarity with freight forwarding software and systems for booking, tracking, and documentation management

Demonstrates expertise in air export operations, including compliance with international trade regulations and customs procedures. Proficient in freight forwarding software and effective communication, ensuring accurate documentation and efficient shipment coordination.
