JOB SUMMARY
The Sr. Lead, Segment Product Integration – Baby is responsible for connecting the Baby Sub-Segment and the Newell Global Supply Chain – spanning Manufacturing, Distribution, Procurement, and Customer Supply Chain. This role drives strategic alignment, acts as a conduit for communication, and proactively identifies improvement opportunities across both functions.
The ideal candidate brings manufacturing knowledge, financial literacy, market awareness, and strong decision-making skills to navigate complex business situations and deliver favorable outcomes. With global responsibility, this leader will have deep end-to-end supply chain knowledge, cultivate critical cross-functional relationships and share findings enterprise-wide in support of One Newell.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across various functions within the Baby Sub-Segment and Newell Global Supply Chain including Marketing, Finance, R&D, Group Manufacturing leadership as well as Plant leaders across the Baby manufacturing and distribution locations.
- Reinforce Newell’s strategic direction through visible and vocal leadership.
- Unify and align the Baby Sub-Segment and Global Supply Chain on those mid-to long-term strategic initiatives requiring global coordination.
- Serve as a visible and vocal participant in the IGM/NPD process, ensuring reliable sourcing and sound manufacturing design principles are embedded and sustained. Key communication conduit.
- Support S&OP process by surfacing risks and escalations between the Segment and Newell Global Supply Chain and advocating for the manufacturing site needs.
- Drive a performance-driven culture by clarifying ownership, accountability and actions – rooted in Newell values.
- Represent the Supply Chain perspective in Business Development opportunities and lead integration activities between Baby Sub-Segment and Newell Supply Chain
- Represent the Segment voice in Supply Chain initiatives and lead corresponding integration interfaces.
- Ensure the critical few resources across Newell are connected to successfully execute on a key business activity
- Collaborate with Supply Chain Planning to ensure product availability meets customer and consumer needs.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- BS in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations or a related technical discipline
- 5-7 years Supply Chain experience
- 2-3 years Manufacturing experience with P&L ownership, preferred
- Program/Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and timelines
- Experience working in an organization with a Continuous Improvement methodology – PEAK
- Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally and bringing teams together to solve complex challenges.
- Knowledge of the Newell Baby supply chain network is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent analytical, written & verbal communication skills; able to present strategies and recommendations using clear data and logical reasoning.
