The Facilities Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks in all facilities. This includes the outside grounds, general maintenance (exterior and interior), and the overall cleanliness of each building (offices, hallways, stairs, etc.).

• Ensure that the outside grounds and building exteriors are properly maintained, including cleaning and basic maintenance of exterior walls, windows, lighting, doors, parking lots, structures, gardens, lawns, curbs/gutters, exterior hallways, and exterior stairwells.
• Ensure all trash is collected from all facilities and that the areas surrounding the dumpster are clean and neat at all times.
• Ensure all building interiors are properly maintained, including cleaning facilities, maintaining all facility walls, floors, ceilings, windows, stairwells, lighting, doors, roofs as required, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the building.
• Perform basic maintenance and repair work, including painting, replacement of light bulbs, appliances, and fixtures (interior and exterior), replacement of windows, moving furniture and equipment, doors, gates, landscaping, and plumbing.
• Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing, or HVAC repairs as needed.
• Identify and report the need for repairs or maintenance.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety guidelines and policies; follow safety rules and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws, including responsibilities for repairs and maintenance managed within regulatory agencies such as OSHA.
