Perform routine, standardized housekeeping services within assigned building or area. This position will interact on a consistent basis with other custodial staff to include Quality Control Inspectors & Supervisors, and the building/area occupants. The position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

• Provide housekeeping services within assigned area, including emptying trash receptacles, dusting, spot cleaning, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, medical and food service care, restocking supplies, mopping, sweeping and vacuuming.
• Operate and maintain power equipment, which may include carpet vacuums, canister and tank vacuums, wide‑area vacuums, backpack vacuums, spot‑cleaning machines and other powered equipment.
• Maintain housekeeping/storage closets, tools and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
• Utilize prescribed safety equipment as required.
• Utilize chemicals and supplies in a safe and prescribed manner.
• Respond to work requests from building occupants and the department's service request system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One year of job related experience.
• High school diploma, GED or Vocational School Diploma preferred.

This job requires basic skills in delivery of housekeeping services including operation of cleaning equipment and use of cleaning supplies.
