Area Middle Custodian - 12 Month (Chamblee Middle School)

Chamblee Middle School is seeking a Custodian who has high expectations and standards, and understands the importance of teamwork and maintaining a clean environment for our students to learn. The candidate must have the ability to operate cleaning machines such as buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and an understanding of the essential procedures of cleaning and sanitizing. The selected candidate must have the ability to carry out all assigned tasks in a manner of excellence to ensure a safe and clean learning environment for all stakeholders.

The candidate must also be able to work cooperatively with the team in a professional manner.

Title:

Custodian

Maintains the interior and exterior in all areas of assigned buildings.

• Cleans and maintains the cleanliness of all interior and exterior areas of the building.
• Moves furniture and equipment within the facility as required for various activities as directed.
• Works on site premises during periods when principal or building administrator has authorized use of building for special activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Minimum of six (6) months of custodial services experience is preferred.
