Custodian I (Monday – Friday 2:15 pm to 10:45 pm)
Location:
Atlanta, Georgia
Perform routine, standardized housekeeping services within assigned building or area. This position will interact on a consistent basis with other custodial staff, including Quality Control Inspectors & Supervisors, building/area occupants. This position typically will advise and counsel: NA. This position will supervise: NA.
Responsibilities- Provide housekeeping services within assigned area, including: emptying trash receptacles, dusting, spot cleaning, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, medical and food service care, restocking supplies, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming.
- Operate and maintain power equipment (e.g., carpet vacuums, canister and tank vacuums, wide-area vacuums, backpack vacuums, spot cleaning machines, and other powered equipment).
- Maintain housekeeping/storage closets, tools, and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
- Utilize prescribed safety equipment as required.
- Utilize chemicals and supplies in a safe and prescribed manner.
- Respond to work requests from building occupants and the department's service request system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Educational Requirements:
Equivalent combination of education and experience. - Required Experience:
One year of job-related experience.
- High school diploma, GED, or Vocational School Diploma.
Basic skills in delivery of housekeeping services including operation of cleaning equipment and use of cleaning supplies.
