Overview
The Cleaner will work under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and perform a variety of custodial duties for Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) Services. Duties shall be in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures of C&W Services.
Job TitleFloor Technician - 1st Shift
Typical Duties and Responsibilities- Sweep, mop, and wash floors, and other surfaces inside buildings.
- Use light and heavy (commercial type) floor buffers and shampoo machines including attachments.
- Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas. Spot clean daily and shampoo rugs as directed. Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and all other horizontal surfaces including periodic high dusting.
- Wash windowsills; wash interior glass in doors, partitions, and specified windows.
- Wash glass and trim at entrance doors; interior/exterior cleaning. Spot clean interior walls as appropriate daily.
- Clean bathrooms and restock paper supplies daily. Follow standard bathroom procedures including damp wiping glass surfaces, emptying waste baskets, servicing soap and toilet paper dispensers, dusting sills, cleaning tile walls, shelves, stall partitions, and floors.
- Monitor for defects such as clogged urinals and lights out, and report to supervisors.
- Collect building trash daily, place it in an approved container, and transport to designated collection area for removal.
- Replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers per specifications.
- Sweep or shovel snow from steps and walkways at building entrances and connecting walkways/sidewalks as directed.
- Perform periodic work such as high dusting, leather and wood surface care, polishing, and wall washing.
- Any and all other duties as assigned.
- Basic cleaning responsibilities require no previous experience.
- Must be able to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team.
- Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment.
- Use a portable vacuum cleaner – backpack style.
- Attention to detail, pride in delivering excellent service, organization, high levels of energy and endurance.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $15.73 - $18.50.
