Are you ready to make a splash in the world of events? At MTD, we specialize in delivering temporary water solutions for some of the most exciting and high-profile projects across the globe. As Project Manager you are responsible for planning, executing and completing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role includes obtaining resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and external contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.
The project manager also defines project objectives and oversees quality control throughout the life cycle. You report directly to the Regional Operations Manager.
You are in direct contact with clients and MTD field engineers and you thrive by completing projects within time and budget. You are creative to come up with solutions and not afraid for tight deadlines because MTD is working in highly time and quality sensitive projects
Your responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate project plans and related documentation.
- Coordinate and motivate on-site project team, distribute workload and ensure proper work environment.
- Determine and manage required resources, budgets and timelines.
- Be the key point of contact with the client during the build-up and derig of the project
- Arrange transports
- Work with Region Operations Manager to ensure all planning is complete include personnel on site and equipment
- Monitor project progress, milestones and expenditures, take corrective action where necessary.
- Limit unexpected costs and prepare financial projections for future projects.
- Identify and manage project risks, resolve conflicts and prepare contingency plans.
- Evaluate projects with stakeholders and report findings and recommendations.
- Maintain and develop business relationships that contribute to project success.
- Accountable for your projects 24/7.
What makes you the right candidate?
- Strong experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to make decisions – in the events industry quite often things don’t go as planned.
- Knowledge of project management principles and best practices (e.g. PMP).
- Stress-resistant and a flexible attitude.
- Minimum of 5 years' work experience in similar positions.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Can read and understand engineering drawings
- You can work on multiple projects simultaneously without any problems.
- You are results-oriented and understand the target audience.
- Travel to Project locations as needed
Why you are the right candidate?
You bring experience in project management, preferably within the events industry. Ideally you hold Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and at minimum you hold a Bachelor's degree in business administration, management or a related field. You have managed projects in fast paced environments before. Your personality makes you want to plan ahead and always have a Plan B scenario to your hands.
You have experience in managing multi-functional project teams and you like working in multicultural teams. You are easy in communicating with people with different backgrounds whether that is a client, field engineer or warehouse employee. You live by ‘Safety first, quality always’ and your personality drives you to take care of our staff.
