About BMS CAT

Since 1948, BMS CAT has been a trusted leader in disaster recovery and reconstruction. From emergency response and remediation to full-scale rebuilds, we support our clients across projects ranging from complex, multi-million-dollar commercial losses to high-touch residential restoration. Our reputation is built on responsiveness, craftsmanship, and a commitment to restoring what matters most.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager with proven, hands-on experience in restoration, remediation, and reconstruction to lead large-scale commercial projects up to $5 million in value. This role is ideal for a field-driven leader who thrives in dynamic environments and brings both operational discipline and relationship strength to every job.

While this position is commercially focused, residential restoration and reconstruction experience is a strong plus. This is not a new construction role. Each project presents unique conditions driven by fire, water, mold, storm, or environmental loss, and requires a project manager who can adapt, problem-solve, and lead from the front.

You will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and at the highest level of quality, while serving as the primary point of contact for clients, insurance partners, subcontractors, and internal leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the full project lifecycle for commercial and residential reconstruction projects, from work authorization and scope development through final walkthrough and closeout.
  • Manage and deliver commercial projects up to $5 million, ensuring schedule adherence, margin control, and quality execution.
  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, trades, vendors, and internal field teams across multiple active jobs.
  • Review scopes, estimates, and Xactimate line items to ensure accuracy, completeness, and profitability.
  • Maintain jobsite documentation, safety compliance, and all permitting and inspection requirements.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with property owners, facility managers, insurance carriers, TPAs, and adjusters.
  • Proactively manage scope changes, negotiate supplements and change orders, and protect project margins.
  • Provide forecasting, reporting, and performance updates to branch and regional leadership.
  • Drive a high-level customer experience that supports repeat business and long-term client relationships.
  • Mentor and support junior project managers and field staff as needed.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on project management experience in restoration, remediation, and reconstruction.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale commercial projects valued up to $5 million.
  • Residential restoration and reconstruction experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage 10 to 30 active projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, field-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with Xactimate or similar estimating and construction management software.
  • Strong working knowledge of building codes, permitting, inspections, and subcontractor management.
  • Experience working directly with insurance carriers, TPAs, and adjusters.
  • Contractor’s License, IICRC certifications, OSHA 10 or 30, and Mold or EPA certifications strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills with a client-first mindset.
Pay Range and Compensation Package
  • Competitive base salary with comission opportunities tied to project performance and profitability.
  • Car allowance, gas card, toll tag, laptop, smartphone, and necessary field tools provided.
  • Fully paid employee medical insurance, with optional dental and vision coverage available.
Equal Opportunity Statement
