Overview
- Lead the Special Projects Group for a construction firm specializing in higher education projects.
- Manage projects valued at $3-$8MM, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and achieve project goals.
- Work on-site and remotely, balancing campus presence with office responsibilities.
- Contribute to the growth of the organization, which has a reputation for excellence and innovation.
- Oversee a portfolio of 15 projects, totaling $5MM annually.
- Provide leadership in estimating, project management, and subcontractor coordination.
- Foster a collaborative and problem-solving work environment.
- Manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Develop project scopes, solicit subcontractor bids, and oversee estimation processes.
- Coordinate with superintendents and other team members to ensure project success.
- Maintain client relationships through regular campus visits and effective communication.
- Implement strategies to optimize project profitability and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering professional growth.
- Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders and management.
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Construction Management or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project management; 8 years preferred.
- Proficiency in estimating, project planning, and subcontractor coordination.
- Strong client-facing skills and ability to manage relationships effectively.
- Experience with hybrid work environments, balancing on-site and remote responsibilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
