The Accounting Manager will oversee the financial operations of selected franchise brands within our portfolio. This role involves managing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. The Accounting Manager will work closely with the Director of Accounting and other senior management to drive financial performance and maintain the financial health of the assigned brands.
The role offers an opportunity to interact with senior management and be one of the key individuals to help implement new processes and process improvements across the company.
- Oversee and manage the accounting functions for assigned franchise brands.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly internal financial statements.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide detailed reports to support strategic planning and business development initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive financial efficiency and business growth.
- Evaluate and improve financial systems, processes, and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist with annual audit.
- Collaboration with Director of Accounting, SVP’s within the finance organization, CFO, Brand Leaders and EVP’s of Operations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in accounting and finance.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Experience in the franchise or retail industry is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with leadership.
- High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
