Subcontractor Superintendent Opportunity
Are you a Subcontractor Superintendent looking for a place where you can make a difference every day? Serco is the place for you! Discover this great opportunity supporting the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) at Pituffik SB, Greenland (formerly known as Thule Air Base). Serco will support USACE in renovating the Power Building (J-Plant) and providing it with High Altitude Electro Magnetic Pules (HEMP) protective measures.
As our Subcontractor Superintendent, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing sub-contractors in the accomplishment of on-site constructing and testing activities.
In this role, you will:
- Manage sub-contractors in developing and monitoring project plans including schedule and cost estimates.
- Ensure project output deliverables or CDRLs are delivered on schedule and within funding.
- Establish milestones and monitor adherence to project/program plan, schedule, quality, security, and safety.
- You will identify problems and provide/obtain solutions.
- Prioritize workload and direct alternate activities when conditions prohibit planned work.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and sub-contractors.
- Report to a Program Manager.
- Manage a team of 3 or more sub-contractors.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- U.S Citizenship required.
- A Bachelors Degree or a High School Diploma/GED with minimum 16 years of experience working in a role on military or Federal constructions projects with minimum 6 years of leadership experience.
- Minimum 12 years of experience working in a role on military or Federal constructions projects with minimum 6 years of leadership experience.
- Minimum 4 years as a technical lead of HEMP hardening or similar projects.
- Substantial experience managing sub-contractor project performance. Substantial is loosely defined as more than three years on $1M+ size projects.
- The ability to travel 75%.
- Valid U.S Passport required (more than 6 months from expiration date).
- Valid Drivers license and a clean driving record.
Additional desired experience and skills:
- Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Experience working with USACE is preferred but not required.
