Shop One Centers (“Shop One”) is a leading owner and operator of high-quality, open‑air shopping centers throughout the United States. Shop One is currently deploying capital on behalf of an institutional programmatic joint venture targeting grocery‑anchored shopping centers throughout the United States and, with its joint venture partners, has recently been among the most active investors in the sector.
The Property Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of property management for a portfolio of properties throughout the United States. This role manages day‑to‑day operations, financial performance, maintenance, and tenant relations while ensuring the properties operate efficiently and in alignment with company standards and strategic goals. The position will report to the SVP of Property Management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage all phases of property operations across a multi‑state portfolio.
- Oversee maintenance and repair activities to ensure properties remain safe, compliant, and well‑maintained.
- Coordinate company‑wide initiatives and programs to support standardization and best practices.
- Maintain strong tenant relations and respond to tenant needs promptly and professionally.
- Direct activities related to security, procurement, contract management, and risk management.
- Prepare annual operating budgets for each property.
- Evaluate and monitor budget performance, analyzing variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Partner with financial and strategic directors to support portfolio optimization and long‑term value creation.
- Work closely with leasing, construction, accounting, and investment teams to ensure smooth property operations and support organizational objectives.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a shopping center commercial property manager.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Self‑starter capable of working independently with minimal direction.
- Creative problem solver with strong integrity and sound judgement.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast‑paced environment.
