Warehouse and Facilities Manager-Atlanta

Job Summary:

The Atlanta Warehouse and Facilities Manager is responsible for warehouse operations and facility maintenance. This position conducts training, directing the warehouse staff to complete daily activities, security and control of inventory. In addition, this position works interdepartmentally with other management to ensure the proper operation, maintenance, and upkeep of the Atlanta Facility.

Primary Duties:

• Manage and review warehouse staff to include recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, directing work, appraising performance, and holding team members accountable.
• Manage cost containment, ensuring quality, delivery, and making sure budget objectives are met.
• Enforce all company policies and safety procedures, including OSHA guidelines.
• Plan and organize the warehouse and yard areas for maximum use and efficiency.
• Ensure products, parts, and supplies are received, stocked, shipped, and distributed efficiently.
• Maintain working knowledge of warehouse computer systems, RF, and office software.
• Conduct weekly cycle counts. Responsible for the accuracy of all inventories in warehouse.
• Distribute and review monthly reports of open pick ticket, transfers, and vendor returns.
• Take precautions to secure warehouse contents against loss.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of ship errors, pick errors, and employee shipments.
• Maintain the maintenance of the forklifts with outside source.
• Inspect RF guns/printers for proper functioning/troubleshooting. Send for repair when needed.
• Inspect driving equipment for basic repairs needed to drive in/out the building.
• Ensure all equipment comes in/out each day and assist.
• Ensure adequate supply of packaging and warehouse supplies on hand.
• Meet with vendors and negotiate contracts and pricing for warehouse and facility supplies.
• Meet with vendors and contractors to negotiate pricing for facility work and supplies.
• Inspect the work done by the landscapers, housekeeping, and outsourced facility repairs.
• Minor facilities repair: electrical, plumbing, painting, roofing, carpets/flooring, doors and all other.
• Organize warehouse team to setup company meeting room when needed.
• Open/close warehouse and set alarms for warehouse and office as needed.
• Must have the ability and willingness to travel with multiple overnight stays via airplane, car, or other appropriate means of transportation for business-related purposes. This includes but may not be limited to facility and field visits, vendor visits, continued education, and other business-related activities.

Preferred Competencies, Qualifiations, and

Skills:

• At least five years related work experience, or equivalent degree, or both
• Management/Supervisory experience
• SAP or equivalent ERP experience
• Must communicate well with others of all management levels
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. unassisted
• Hand-held RF scanner experience
• Excellent verbal, written and time management skills
• Helpful, dependable and have a team player attitude
• Minor building maintenance repair knowledge
• Ability to operate forklift/reach truck
• Ability to work flexible hours, to include weekends
