Job Description

The Co-brand business development team forms a critical part of the Co-brand team, as part of the NA & Global Co-brand CoE.

Our team’s mission is to win new co-brand business globally. The team is engaged across multiple functions within the Visa global organization to bring the very best of Visa’s expertise and assets to our clients, earning well-qualified wins to drive revenue growth while building trust and growing engagement and satisfaction among teammates, partners and clients.

The Director, Global Co-Brand Business Development CoE is responsible for leading and executing a Co-brand and broader partnership development strategy for markets globally. This role requires leadership, vision and creativity to develop the Co-brand strategy, drive the expansion of Visa products and solutions, and lead the overall commercialization of Visa’s business development objectives.

This role will report directly to the Senior Director, Head of Co-Brand Business Development. This role will collaborate with key executive leadership across Visa in multiple markets, such as sales leaders, issuer account leaders, finance, legal, marketing, technology, customer support, and product teams. Externally, this role will collaborate with senior executives at merchants, issuers and consultants to best navigate the sales process to closure and help ensure a successful launch.

Location:

  • The position can be located in Atlanta or San Francisco.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead business development and own deals end-to-end for high priority co-brand opportunities globally including renewals, net new opportunities, and takeaway engagements.
  • Drive pitch and proposal development and lead external discussions and negotiations with internal stakeholders and the client to secure new business.
  • Drive cross-functional discussions with the relevant stakeholders to construct Visa’s value story and lead internal alignment.
  • Lead strategic initiatives that define Visa’s long‑term approach and demonstrate thought leadership to our partners.
  • Serve as internal and external thought leader responsible for communicating Visa's Co‑Brand and partnership vision, strategy and perspective within a rapidly evolving industry.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • Business Development and Partnerships Experience – Proven depth of experience in driving client growth and winning new business. Experience selling ideas and solutions to senior management based on client priorities and needs. Proven ability to manage a pipeline, structure a deal, negotiate business agreements and drive commercial results. Co‑Brand experience is a plus, particularly across international markets.
  • Collaboration and Relationship Building – Demonstrated experience building and leveraging strong relationships within Visa and client organizations at multiple levels.
