Job Summary
As a Program Manager for Nidec Aerospace, you will lead cross‑functional initiatives to develop electric propulsion systems for battery‑powered aircraft, supporting the industry’s transition to net‑zero carbon emissions.
Job DescriptionOversee multiple projects, aligning strategy, resources, and execution to deliver results on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Lead teams, promote project management best practices, monitor progress, manage risks, and communicate status to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive program and project plans.
- Provide strong leadership to cross‑functional project teams.
- Track project progress, proactively identifying challenges and implementing corrective actions.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues.
- Communicate clear, concise, and accurate status updates to senior leadership.
- Partner closely with internal teams across functions to ensure alignment and delivery.
- Promote and ensure adherence to established project management methodologies, standards, and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project and/or program management.
- Proven leadership capabilities to motivate, influence, and guide teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, confident presenting to senior‑level stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing detailed project plans using project management tools and software.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making skills.
- Working knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and Scrum methodologies.
- PMP, PMI‑ACP, or similar certification preferred.
- Achieves operational and business targets within the team, impacting departmental results.
- Works under limited supervision and independently on moderately complex projects.
- Contributes to departmental goals and planning efforts.
- Communicates with senior leadership and employees both within and outside the department.
- Influences employees to align on new concepts and practices.
- Responsible for moderate to significant improvements of processes, procedures, or systems.
- Manages problems that may impact multiple departments.
- Coaches, reviews, and delegates work to other professionals.
- Manages end‑to‑end projects or processes.
- Requires extensive knowledge of specialty areas and industry practices.
- Requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years of prior relevant experience.
