Key Responsibilities for the Benefits DirectorLead the design, analysis, implementation, and administration of employee benefits programs as the Benefits Director.
Manage broker, carrier, and vendor relationships to ensure high-quality service and performance as the Benefits Director.
Oversee benefits administration, enrollments, eligibility, HRIS data integrity, and audits in the Benefits Director position.
Administer FMLA, ADA, disability, workers’ compensation, and leave of absence programs as the Benefits Director.
Direct annual open enrollment planning, execution, and employee communications as the Benefits Director.
Provide benefits reporting and financial data support to Finance and leadership teams as the Benefits Director.
Evaluate benefits programs and recommend enhancements to improve the employee experience as the Benefits Director.
Ensure compliance with applicable benefits regulations and employment laws as the Benefits Director.
Qualifications for the Benefits Director10+ years of HR and/or benefits administration experience required for the Benefits Director.
Extensive knowledge of employee benefits, leave administration, and applicable employment laws essential for the Benefits Director.
Experience managing health, welfare, retirement, and disability programs required for the Benefits Director.
HRIS experience required;
Workday experience preferred for the Benefits Director.
Associate degree in HR or a related field (or equivalent experience) for the Benefits Director.
Bachelor’s degree preferred for the Benefits Director.
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred for the Benefits Director.
Strong analytical, communication, and vendor management skills expected of the Benefits Director.
The ideal Benefits Director will possess strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively partner with senior leadership.
