Job Summary

This position is responsible for advancing Institutional directives and priorities through strategic admission work. Key components include directing several full time staff, serving on the office leadership team, and representing Tech at on and off campus recruitment programs. This position will interact on a regular basis with: staff, students, and visitors. This position typically will advise and counsel: staff, students, and visitors.

This position will supervise: staff and students.

Responsibilities
  • Manage transfer admission process and recruitment activities to include file review and communication with prospective students. Evaluate, advise and recommend prospects based on established Institute admission standards.
  • Implement and manage campus visit programs for prospective students which include but not limited to:
    Connect with Tech, Preview, Destination Tech and Gold Carpet Day. Oversee tour guides and group tour coordination as well student program advisory boards and councils.
  • Develop and recommend plans regarding recruitment efforts.
  • Supervise, hire, and train professional and/or seasonal staff.
  • Assist Director/Associate Director with professional functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Required Qualifications

Experience in student development/higher education;
Admissions, including consistent participation in state and regional professional organizations; some blogging experience; excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to work well under deadlines; presentation skills; some marketing techniques

Required Experience

Three to five years job related experience
