You’ll take ownership of ocean import operations, ensuring cargo moves efficiently, compliantly and cost-effectively while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
You will:
- Lead and develop a large ocean import operations team
- Oversee bookings, carriers, transportation and cargo delivery
- Manage key customer, vendor and service-provider relationships
- Ensure compliance with customs, trade and import regulations
- Monitor KPIs, costs, service levels and operational performance
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Analyse performance data and drive continuous improvement
- Partner with internal teams to deliver seamless end-to-end service
- 5+ years' freight forwarding/logistics experience
- 3+ years' people management experience
- Experience leading large operational teams
- Strong knowledge of ocean freight, customs and trade requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical and commercial mindset
- Good Microsoft Office skills and experience with logistics systems
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field preferred
