Job Overview
Prodigy Movers is seeking a results-driven Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our growing moving company. The successful candidate will lead field crews, coordinate job scheduling, and ensure an exceptional customer experience from start to finish. This role requires strong leadership, sound judgment, and commitment to delivering high-quality moving services with consistency and professionalism.
LocationAtlanta, GA (Onsite and Field Based)
Essential Job Functions- Serve as the primary point of contact for crews, front office staff, customers, and provide operational support throughout the day
- Schedule and dispatch crews and trucks to daily moving jobs
- Monitor jobs in progress and adjust resources in real time as needed
- Supervise, coach, and hold field staff accountable to company standards
- Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Address operational issues that arise throughout the day with urgency and professionalism
- Communicate with customers before, during, and after moves to ensure satisfaction
- Resolve customer complaints or service issues promptly and professionally; monitor and respond to online reviews in a timely manner
- Oversee daily vehicle inspections and ensure equipment is maintained and operational
- Ensure crews comply with all safety standards and company policies
- Track job costs, labor hours, and supply inventory
- Maintain accurate records in company scheduling and CRM systems
- Coordinate with ownership on hiring, onboarding, performance management, and staffing needs
- Report to your assigned work location in a timely manner as directed by ownership

- This position will have access to and become familiar with information of a confidential or proprietary nature, including information related to the business, staff, pricing, and clients (current or prospective)
- The ability to maintain complete confidentiality, both during and after employment, is an essential function of the job
- Prior supervisory or team lead experience required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
- Working knowledge of moving industry compliance, safety standards, and best practices
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Proficiency in scheduling software, email, and basic computer applications
- Physically able to work in an active, field-based environment
- Subject to a criminal background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screen
- Preference given to candidates with a degree in Business, Logistics, or Operations Management; hands-on moving experience will be considered a strong advantage
