Summary

The Division Vice President (DVP) is a senior field executive responsible for the performance of multiple territories led by Territory Operating Partners. This role carries full accountability for division enrollment, operations, financial results, leadership strength, and execution of company strategy across a defined portfolio of early childhood education centers.

The Division Vice President operates as the senior business leader for the division — ensuring that each territory functions as a high-performing operating unit while maintaining alignment with company standards, priorities, and long-term growth objectives. The Division Vice President ensures consistency, scalability, and sustained performance across territories.

This role is designed for leaders capable of balancing strategic leadership, operational rigor, and talent development at scale.

Key Responsibilities Division Performance & Growth
  • Own aggregate enrollment, occupancy, retention, and revenue performance across all territories.
  • Establish division growth strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Identify performance gaps and deploy resources to address underperforming territories.
  • Optimize staffing capacity and labor allocation to support operational performance, regulatory requirements, high-quality program delivery, and financial targets.
  • Ensure sustainable growth while maintaining quality and compliance.
Leadership of Territory Operating Partners
  • Recruit, hire, coach, and develop Territory Operating Partners.
  • Set clear performance expectations and hold leaders accountable for results.
  • Build a strong bench of future operating leaders.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and execution.
Operational Excellence & Compliance
  • Ensure consistent operational execution across territories.
  • Maintain compliance with licensing, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor quality indicators and intervene when risks emerge.
  • Ensure company standards are applied consistently across centers.
Financial Leadership
  • Own division P&L performance and financial outcomes.
  • Oversee territory budgets, staffing models, and cost management.
  • Analyze financial drivers and implement strategies to improve profitability.
  • Forecast risks and opportunities; allocate resources accordingly.
Strategy Execution & Organizational Alignment
  • Translate company strategy into actionable regional plans.
  • Ensure consistent execution of enterprise priorities.
  • Provide field insights to executive leadership.
  • Balance autonomy of territories with organizational alignment.
Decision-Making & Accountability
  • Make high-impact operational and business decisions within defined authority.
  • Resolve complex issues that exceed territory-level scope.
  • Escalate critical risks while retaining ownership of outcomes.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for field operations.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in multi-site operations, general management, or region / area / division leadership roles
  • Demonstrated success leading leaders across multiple locations
  • Proven ability to drive revenue growth, operational excellence, and talent development
  • Strong financial acumen, including P&L ownership
  • Experience building leadership pipelines and succession plans
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Experience in early childhood education, franchised businesses, or regulated service industries strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel frequently, up to 75%
