Senior Vice President, Store Operations

Job Summary The Senior Vice President, Store Operations is an enterprise-level commercial and operational leader responsible for the strategy, execution, and performance of the total store operations organization. This role provides executive leadership to six Regional Vice Presidents who lead field store operations across the business, ensuring consistent execution, strong customer experience, operational discipline, profitable growth, and alignment to NAPA’s long-term strategy.

The SVP also oversees the store support functions required to enable the field organization, including operational programs, process improvement, store execution standards, workforce enablement, performance routines, and cross-functional support needed to run stores effectively s leader partners closely with executive leadership, commercial teams, supply chain, merchandising, finance, people, technology, and other enterprise partners to translate business strategy into action and deliver sustainable results across a large, multi-region store network.

Responsibilities Set the vision, operating strategy, and execution priorities for the total store operations organization, ensuring alignment to enterprise business objectives and NAPA’s long-term growth strategy.

Lead, coach, and hold accountable six Regional Vice Presidents responsible for regional store operations performance, leadership effectiveness, customer experience, and operational execution.

Drive consistent operational excellence across the store network through clear standards, disciplined routines, measurable performance expectations, and scalable operating processes.

Own store operations performance outcomes, including sales execution, profitability, service levels, productivity, labor effectiveness, operational compliance, inventory execution, and customer experience.

Oversee store support functions required to enable field execution, ensuring teams deliver practical tools, processes, training, communication, analytics, and support that improve store performance.

Translate enterprise strategy into clear field priorities and ensure regional leaders have the direction, resources, and accountability needed to execute with consistency and urgency.

Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align store operations with merchandising, supply chain, sales, finance, people, technology, asset protection, and marketing priorities.

Lead operating cadences, business reviews, and performance management routines that identify opportunities, remove barriers, and accelerate results across regions.

Champion a customer-first and teammate-focused culture that strengthens store leadership, improves engagement, and reinforces service excellence across all locations.

Build organizational capability by developing senior field leaders, strengthening succession plans, and ensuring leadership talent is prepared to support future business growth.

Drive continuous improvement by simplifying processes, reducing operational friction, improving field adoption, and scaling best practices across the store network.

Use data, insights, and voice-of-the-field feedback to inform decisions, prioritize investments, and improve execution quality across stores and support functions.

Lead change effectively across a large, distributed organization by setting clear direction, creating alignment, anticipating field impact, and ensuring sustainable adoption.

Ensure store operations policies, procedures, and programs support compliance, safety, risk management, asset protection, and brand standards.

Represent store operations in enterprise planning, investment decisions, transformation initiatives, and executive-level discussions impacting the field organization.
