Job Description:

Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Full-Time ATL Community Media Station Manager position in the Communications, Marketing, & Public Relations division. This position is located at Atlanta Tech's Main campus just south of Downtown Atlanta.

Under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Communications, Marketing, & Public Relations, the Full-Time ATL Community Media Station Manager position is responsible for coordinating station operations, managing community access services, overseeing production scheduling, supporting volunteers and community producers, teaching introductory courses in television broadcasting, media production and ensuring that station facilities, programming, and resources operate efficiently and professionally. This position serves as the primary operational point of contact for station users and plays a key role in maintaining positive experience for community members utilizing ATL Community Media's services and facilities.

Duties and responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following:

Manage the day-to-day operations of ATL Community Media and its facilities.

Coordinate studio, control room, podcast, livestream, editing and production schedules.

Oversee facility reservations, equipment usage and resource allocation.

Teaching introductory and advanced workshops, certification programs and class intensives in television broadcasting, media production.

Ensure studios, production spaces and common areas are maintained in a safe, organized and professional manner.

Maintain operational records, production logs and station documentation.

Assist in implementing station policies, procedures and operational standards.

Work collaboratively with engineering staff to ensure equipment readiness and operational continuity.

Coordinate and support television, streaming, podcast and community media productions.

Assist community producers and volunteers throughout the content creation process.

Review submitted programming for technical quality and compliance with station standards.

Monitor programming schedules and ensure accurate content delivery across broadcast and digital platforms.

Support live productions, special events, public meetings and community programming initiatives.

Maintain an understanding of broadcast workflows, signal flow and content distribution systems of effectively support station operations.

Serve as the primary liaison for community producers, volunteers and station users.

Recruit, onboard, train, schedule and supervise volunteers.

Conduct station orientations and community access certification programs.

Teach introductory and advanced workshops, certification programs and class intensives in television broadcasting media production.

Support compliance with FCC regulations, station policies and applicable industry standards.

Promote ADA accessibility and inclusion within station facilities, programming and services.

Assist in creating an environment that provides equitable access to media resources and participation opportunities; and Perform other duties as assigned.
