Job Description & How to Apply Below

Our client is a commercial general contractor specializing in industrial, logistics, and data center construction with a rapidly growing Southeast presence anchored in Atlanta. The firm has tripled its project volume over the past three years on the back of unprecedented demand for distribution and hyperscale data center infrastructure, and is adding senior leadership to manage the pace of growth.

As Director of Field Operations you will have direct management responsibility for a team of 15–20 superintendents and assistant superintendents deployed across active projects in Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Alabama. You will establish and enforce field execution standards, lead safety culture initiatives, conduct regular site audits, oversee superintendent hiring and onboarding, and serve as a key escalation point for schedule recovery and subcontractor performance issues.

This is a highly strategic field leadership role that requires someone equally comfortable walking a job site and presenting to ownership. The firm offers a compelling package including a company vehicle, project performance bonuses, and a clear path to VP of Operations.

Requirements
  • 15+ years of commercial construction field experience with at least 5 years managing multiple superintendents or field teams simultaneously
  • Extensive experience with tilt-up, precast, and structural steel construction for industrial or data center projects
  • Deep knowledge of OSHA regulations and experience leading corporate safety programs
  • Proficiency with Procore and scheduling tools; experience with pull planning and Last Planner System preferred
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and workforce development skills
