GTRI is currently seeking a student assistant starting Summer 2026. The student will work under the guidance of GTRI researchers to manage the GTRI SEEDLab Makerspace on the Georgia Tech campus. Duties will include:

• Set up new equipment for the SEEDLab space
• Maintain the SEEDLab equipment to keep everything in working order
• Maintain the SEEDLab space to keep it organized and usable
• Help train makerspace users on safety and use of equipment
• Help makerspace users with equipment issues as needed
• Help maintain the SEEDLab Confluence site
• Help GTRI employees with design for prototyping

Student Assistant/Research Assistant

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or related discipline
• Must be registered for at least 6 credit hours with your university
• 2.0 or higher cumulative GPA

• Experience in 3D printing, laser engravers/cutters, CNC, woodworking equipment, etc.
• Experience with AutoCAD or Solid Works software
• Experience debugging and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and software systems
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to clearly communicate and train others
• Experience with Python and C++ helpful, but not required

10–20 hours per week
