Cirkla develops and manufactures high performance fiber packaging solutions to help global brands reduce plastic in their packaging. We ve built a variety of industry-first packaging solutions such as trays for meat, produce and ready meals, dairy tubs, scoops, and more.
Role DescriptionWe are looking for a hands-on and results-driven Plant Manager to lead end-to-end manufacturing operations at our USA facility. This role will be responsible for plant performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people management. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in running manufacturing plants, setting up processes, building teams, and scaling operations in a fast-paced environment.
What you ll do- Lead greenfield plant setup & day-to-day plant operations including production, maintenance, quality, and logistics
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (OSHA, local regulations)
- Drive production planning and execution to meet customer demand and delivery timelines
- Own plant KPIs across productivity, yield, cost, quality, and downtime
- Implement lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and cost optimization initiatives
- Build, lead, and develop plant teams including supervisors, operators, and support staff
- Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, and global teams on process improvements and scale-up
- Oversee equipment installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance programs
- Manage plant budgets, operating costs, and capex execution
- Ensure compliance with quality systems and audit requirements
- 10-15 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with significant plant leadership exposure
- Proven experience managing production teams and end-to-end plant operations
- Strong knowledge of safety, quality systems, and US manufacturing regulations
- Hands-on approach with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in meat packaging, FMCG, pulp & paper, or process manufacturing is a plus
