Operate a mechanical Smart Saw/band saw to cut or remove damaged lumber as needed in the refurbishing of wood pallets. Must have the ability to lift and handle wood pallets weighing 75-85 lbs. Will be required to meet fast‑paced production requirements and established daily and weekly production targets. Adhere to all company safety requirements to ensure a safe and productive work environment.

• Comply with all safety guidelines.
• Ensure all Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is used at all times while performing job duties.
• Operate the mechanical bandsaw in CB or TD processes.
• Perform basic adjustments to the machine, including changing saw blades, table adjustments, and ensuring all safety guards are in place.
• Demonstrate proper cutting techniques to maximize blade usage and minimize stress on the equipment.
• Track production on required forms.
• Clean bandsaw operating area and restock lumber at the end of each shift.
• May be required to work daily overtime and occasional Saturdays.
• Perform other duties as required.

CB involves inspecting the pallet to determine if the Connector Board is broken across the width, determining if the pallet has 3 broken CBs and setting aside for teardown approval, aligning the bandsaw blade to cut the broken CBs for replacement, removing all defective components, restocking, and aligning components for repair. TD ensures pallets needing to be torn down or scrapped are properly identified per SOP, segregating them from the working pool, tearing down pallets to recover usable lumber, and documenting reclaimed lumber on daily production forms.

Monday – Friday, 2nd Shift 3:30 pm – 11:30 pm.

Pay rate – $18/hr.

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Basic tool knowledge is a plus.
