Instrumentation Calibration Technician - US, Georgia - 6 Month Contract

Our client, a well-established global organisation in the life sciences sector, is hiring for an Instrumentation Calibration Technician to join their newly established team. This role lets you contribute to impactful projects that drive innovation in healthcare and animal wellbeing, while gaining experience with a company known for its scientific excellence and global reach.

What

You’ll Do
  • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, improvements, and modifications to process instrumentation/controls on production and qualified utility equipment and systems including but not limited to fillers, pick & place robots, cartoners, case packers, boilers, RO water system, Clean Steam generator, WFI and other production equipment.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and repair complex computer systems, from Process Logic Controllers to Distributed control systems. Configure, calibrate, maintain, and repair state-of-the-art electronic ("smart") process measuring and control instruments, while still maintaining expertise in older technologies such as pneumatic, dial pressure.
  • Stay current with training regarding maintenance of instrumentation equipment and systems in compliance with company standards, procedures, and government regulations (SOPs, GMPs, GLPs, PSM, etc.).
What you’ll need
  • Journeyman Certificate in Instrumentation or Electrical with experience in a manufacturing environment or a Technical/Vocational School diploma with field instrumentation work experience.
  • Good understanding of the pharmaceutical/bio-technology industry and operations of the organization along with technical proficiency.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in relevant technical areas. Solid understanding of GMP manufacturing processes, equipment and facilities.
  • Good communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Can articulate issues and solutions to the team. Can produce effective project reports and presentations.
