About the Job

We are seeking a Sr. Manager of Manufacturing Operations to join our manufacturing team  Sr. Production Manager will lead a team of leaders to produce multiple hardware platforms for strategic military and commercial customers. This is a dynamic role requiring frontline technical and people management skills, delivering customer experiences, fostering team culture, and overseeing day-to-day delivery. Success includes customer satisfaction, team management, operations, and financial goals.

The ideal candidate will have new product introduction (NPI) and production scaling experience, strong communication skills, time-management, and a commitment to building American defense capabilities. While individual strength is valued, teamwork is crucial for success.

What You’ll Do
  • Drive Tier 3 production reporting structures and set safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals across multiple production teams and work centers
  • Set monthly and quarterly production targets and maintain accountability for performance across broader manufacturing operations spanning several work centers
  • Lead and develop the organizational structure of your leadership team, including succession planning for supervisors and managers
  • Define operational direction by establishing goals, policies, and processes, then delegating execution to other leaders on your team
  • Shape and adjust manufacturing policies that guide how your team and broader organization operates, with decisions that significantly influence business outcomes across the department
  • Tackle complex operational challenges requiring conceptual thinking and strong alignment to organizational goals
  • Apply sound judgment to select approaches and define success measures across multiple production areas
  • Lead strategic projects that impact multiple parts of the business and span up to a year, affecting monthly to quarterly production plan attainment
  • Execute near to long-term business outcomes while driving strategic initiatives that enable production operations and cross-functional collaboration
  • Set team culture across multiple production leaders and drive tactical execution and strategic direction
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to align on priorities across departments and customer needs
  • Navigate complex conversations with stakeholders to influence outcomes while maintaining relationships
  • Oversee cross-functional projects across work centers, ensuring alignment with broader objectives
  • Provide C-suite level reporting on production performance and strategic vision
  • Demonstrate urgency and ownership to complete tasks effectively
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in production-oriented fields, including at least 3+ years in a Manager or Senior Manager role in a high-volume production environment
  • Experience with ERP and MES systems and implementing new systems
  • Full understanding of the product life cycle (NPI to scaled production), LEAN manufacturing principles, and change management (ECOs)
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation (mechanical drawings, work instructions, equipment specs, electrical schematics, etc.)
  • Highly reliable, organized, detail-oriented, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion for employee development and experience in training and developing leaders
