The role requires full commitment to excellence in OHSE and Quality, protecting and promoting the environment, health, and safety of all employees and the broader community. The position is also responsible for maintaining quality across all employees, systems, processes, and products.
Responsibilities- Follow company policies and procedures to record all cylinders received, inspect them visually for damage during shipping, and log their location in the Pre‑Make Ready area.
- Remove the correct cylinders listed on set‑up sheets, identify and log the rack number, and use safety procedures to move cylinders to the workbench for serviceability inspection.
- Move the correct cylinder to the staging area prior to installation on the press, completing all necessary paperwork to ensure correct job number, cylinder number, unit number, and color for the specific job.
- At job completion remove cylinders, properly remove bearings, clean the cylinder, and safely return it to its proper rack location.
- Maintain and clean all sumps according to procedures, schedule wash solvent changes every three weeks, and document compliance with MSDS sheets. Disassemble and clean cylinders without damage.
- Operate the Renzmann machine according to manufacturer specifications and company procedures, ensuring all policies are followed.
- Follow all OHSE policies, personal protection, and hazardous materials/waste handling guidelines, including 40 CFR requirements. Use appropriate personal protective equipment at all times, wear uniform according to company policy, and use company‑provided lifting equipment such as hoists, jacks, and vacuum manipulators.
- Regularly examine work areas to keep them safe and neat, including grounding, and clean up ink and solvent containers. Follow Clean Vision requirements to maintain a clean and safe Pre‑Make environment.
- Actively participate in all Pre‑Make team meetings and group discussions, supporting all other production groups as needed.
- Understand OHSE obligations, support the policy, and implement guiding principles in everyday activities.
