Operations Manager - Food & Beverage Manufacturing
We are looking for an Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate the production of food & liquid products, ensuring high-quality output, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role combines strategic planning, team leadership, and process management to meet organizational goals.
Please note that this role is an onsite role located in Georgia, close to Atlanta. Relocation assistance packages are offered to individuals not based close to the site.
Responsibilities Production Oversight- Direct and manage the production process.
- Ensure production targets are met in terms of volume, quality, and efficiency.
- Track operational data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with maintenance and other departments to maintain seamless production operations.
- Lead a team of up to 100 employees, including direct and indirect reports.
- Hire, train, and mentor staff, building a skilled, motivated, and accountable workforce.
- Foster a positive work environment that emphasizes collaboration, career growth, and employee engagement.
- Provide performance feedback, implement development plans, and ensure team members have the support needed to succeed.
- Oversee adherence to food safety regulations, quality standards, and internal policies.
- Monitor and manage budgets, resources, and project timelines to ensure production goals are met.
- Apply management, project, and mechanical knowledge to optimize operational processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, with progressive supervisory responsibilities.
- Experience with in a large food manufacturing company.
- Strong understanding of food safety principles, management practices, and operational procedures.
- Proficiency with standard office software including spreadsheets and word processing.
- Ability to inspire, lead, and develop teams in a collaborative environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement solutions proactively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with team members and external partners.
