Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Global Manufacturing Operations

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and final assembly process development and sustaining.
• Experience in PCBA (L6), system integration manufacturing (L10), and NPI process development.

• Experience configuring and tracking Statistical Process Control (SPC), Process Capability (CP), and Process Capability Index (CPK) metrics.
• Experience utilizing statistical analysis tools to monitor quality.
• Experience with design and Gerber tools including Valor, AutoCAD, and Cadence Allegro.
• Knowledge of manufacturing testing procedures.
• Understanding of industry manufacturing inspection standards.

As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be accountable for the end‑to‑end manufacturing lifecycle of Cloud hardware, with a specific focus on L6 (PCBA), L10 (System Assembly), and L11 (Rack Integration) platforms. Moving beyond traditional sustaining engineering, you will lead the transition toward a “Smart Factory” ecosystem. By leveraging AI, predictive maintenance, and unified data platforms, you will directly support our hyperscale growth and drive the future of our manufacturing capabilities.

US: $144,000 – $209,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

• Provide dedicated on‑site support at Contract Manufacturers, owning Manufacturing Capability Assessments (MCA) and driving root‑cause investigations for assembly issues.
• Define capacity requirements via time studies and line balancing, and lead the technical manufacturing definition for Requests for Quotations (RFQs).
• Drive early New Product Introduction (NPI) engagement, own the Design For Manufacturing/Design For Assembly (DFM/DFA) process to resolve manufacturability issues, and qualify new site transfer lines.
• Manage production‑released hardware through End of Life (EOL), overseeing assembly yields, process controls, and factory readiness for next‑generation technologies.
• Implement automation and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle times and costs while maximizing yield, capacity, and overall product quality.
