Raw Material Handler

Position Summary

Responsible for opening raw material boxes and packages and delivering raw materials to the production line.

• Opens boxes and moves raw materials into the production room.
• Removes raw materials from plastic packaging or containers.
• Feeds raw material to various production lines.
• Loads chemical intervention cabinet and mechanical tenderizer.
• Hand scales raw material (seafood only).
• Maintains a clean, neat and safe work area, including disposal of packaging and cartons, sweeping, storage of extra material and clean up of supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to follow directions, standard procedures and respond to instructions.
• Ability to solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Ability to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns used to warn employees of the start‑up, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.

Second Shift (Mon‑Fri, 2pm until finish) at Halperns’ in College Park, GA. Starting pay: $18/hr.
