Are you the leader who keeps complex machining programs on track while elevating quality and safety? As our Machine Shop Production Manager, you’ll direct daily operations, mentor a skilled team, and drive continuous improvement across processes, tooling, and equipment.
Imagine This The schedule is tight. A critical order needs to ship by week’s end. You re-sequence jobs, fine‑tune tooling with Engineering, pull forward preventive maintenance, and coach the team through a setup change. By Friday, parts pass inspection the first time—and the shipment leaves on schedule. That’s the kind of impact you’ll make.
Your Responsibilities Manage day‑to‑day machining activities to meet production schedules and quality standards.
Lead, coach, and develop machinists while reinforcing collaboration and continuous improvement.
Design, implement, and standardize machining procedures that increase productivity and efficiency.
Track equipment performance and coordinate maintenance to minimize downtime.
Work with Engineering and Production to refine machining strategies, tooling, and fixturing.
Maintain strict adherence to safety regulations and promote a safe, orderly workplace.
Review production data to pinpoint gaps; implement corrective actions and verify effectiveness.
Deliver clear reports to senior management on output, quality metrics, and team development.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years in machining operations with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Comprehensive understanding of machining processes, tooling, and equipment.
Track record of motivating and developing diverse teams.
Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of safety requirements within a machining environment.
Comfort with machining software and shop tools, including CAM and measurement systems.
