Packaging Operator

Competitive Pay: $18.50-20/hr plus benefits after 30 days

• Responsible for start-up, attending, operating and adjusting various packaging machines such as fillers, cappers, case erectors, tape machines, labelling equipment, etc.
• Secures packaged items on pallets and, when needed, operates pallet moving equipment to move items to and from the packaging lines to the stretch wrapper.
• Maintains quality standards for weights, seals/caps, appearance, etc., by machine adjustments and frequent quality checks.
• Performs minor maintenance repairs, adjustments, changeovers, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance as required.
• Responsible for equipment cleaning and maintaining a clean work area and observing all safety regulations.
• Fills in on packaging lines as needed.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
• Observes all plant safety rules.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience in operation of packaging equipment.
• Pallet moving and forklift driving experience.
• Mechanical ability.
