Job Description Summary
The Material Planner manages raw materials, packaging, and miscellaneous items inventory levels, ensuring they comply with agreed stock policies while completing specific actions to level up or down to optimal levels when necessary. This role is responsible to plan and execute the ERP system signals into specific purchase orders to be received on time to meet production long‑term and short‑term plans and manages inventory at risk and supplier relationships.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Enforce flavor manufacturing raw‑materials inventory policies and take actions to adjust inventories to optimal levels, considering warehouse capacity and shelf‑life.
- Plan, schedule and monitor inbound movement of raw materials and ingredients from suppliers.
- Determine material and ingredient requirements and coordinate the efficient movement of materials with production.
- Handle procurement activities related to acquisition of materials and ingredients from selected suppliers.
- Coordinate with transportation to ensure efficient and effective delivery of materials.
- Develop specifications for new contract orders.
The role also involves applying on‑the‑job training and experience, completing a range of tasks with limited supervision, following established procedures, modifying methods and approaches based on experience, and resolving most issues without supervisory approval while obtaining guidance for the most complex activities.
Qualifications & Requirements- Education:
University degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or any technical related field. Master’s in business administration degree is considered a plus. - Certification: APICS certification is considered a plus.
- Experience:
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing facility in a similar supply‑chain role, experience with SAP or similar ERP systems, and proficiency in Excel. - Skills:
High level of attention to detail, understanding of complex manufacturing processes and their relationship to procurement, and ability to make key business decisions.
Normal manufacturing plant/office working conditions apply. The position is subject to the hazards and risks of a food manufacturing plant and its working environment.

Pay Range:
United States of America: 62,150 USD – 75,962 USD. Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
