Job Summary

The Material Handler II is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring materials are delivered to the appropriate production and inventory locations in a timely manner. This role supports manufacturing and assembly operations by performing inventory transactions, material movements, work order processing, and cycle counting while maintaining compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform physical and system-based material movements to support manufacturing operations.
  • Generate work orders using the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Process work order receipts accurately within the ERP system.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and inventory transactions.
  • Support the movement and flow of materials through manufacturing and assembly operations.
  • Deliver materials to designated production and inventory locations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational goals.
  • Safely handle approved chemicals following established procedures and required training.
  • Support Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and other regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Comply with FDA regulations, company policies, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Work overtime as required to meet business needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of one (1) year of inventory control, material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system preferred.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, material handling, and manufacturing support processes.
  • Ability to accurately perform inventory transactions and cycle counts.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to safely handle chemicals following proper training and established procedures.
  • Ability to maintain compliance with FDA regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Willingness to work overtime as business needs require.
Education
  • High school diploma or GED required.
Work Experience
  • Experience in inventory control, material handling, warehouse operations, or manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, such as medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing, preferred.
  • Experience using ERP systems for inventory management and work order processing is a plus.
