At T-Mobile, this Principal Engineer will lead, design, build, and deploy scalable software solutions that meet customer needs and support highly available systems. They collaborate with other engineers to develop modern software components using technologies and concepts like system design, virtualization, software-defined networking, network functions virtualization, and big data. In this role, Principal Engineers use independent judgment to solve complex technical problems and guide software design decisions.

Job Responsibilities:
* Lead the design and validation of network systems to maximize reliability, performance, and cost efficiency
* Develop and maintain technical documentation and presentations to communicate design benefits to diverse audiences
* Drive engineering projects by applying techniques, conducting tests, and supervising engineering teams to meet objectives
* Analyze and implement technology improvements to optimize network processes and support business requirements
* Monitor industry technologies and standards to inform design decisions and influence organizational technology strategies
* Evaluate new and existing technologies to align with business goals and support network evolution
* Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed
Education and
Work Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree plus 7 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 5 years of related experience (Required)
* Acceptable areas of study include Engineering/Computer Science (Required)
* 7-10 years Technical engineering experience. (Required)
* Telecom Billing Domain experience (Preferred)

Base Pay Range: $118,200 - $213,200
Corporate Bonus Target: 20%
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
